The FX-9 carbine (Freedom Xtreme-9mm Carbine) has a familiar set of operating controls for the avid AR-15 user, it accepts AR-15 stocks and buffer tube assemblies, as well as most free float AR-15 rail assemblies.

The upper and lower receiver are more than 1.00″ shorter than a standard AR-15 upper and lower receiver making it more compact and lighter than a standard mil-spec AR-15 design

The FX-9 upholds Xtreme reliability with a wide range of ammo including many hollow point designs for self-defense, full metal jackets, and copper-plated bullets.

We do not recommend the use of nonjacketed/plated ammunition as unprotected lead can cause fouling and buildups that plated and jacketed bullets do not.

Do Not use aluminum case ammunition in your FX-9 !!

Ammunition Options and Lubrication:

With the first shipment of FX-9 rifles making their way into the Canadian market, we have found that many FX-9s are being under-lubricated. These are new firearms and require generous lubrication prior to being used on the range. Use a good quality gun oil such as Bore Tech, G-96.

We recommend round-nose FMJ 115 gr to get started. We would recommend starting with Aguila 115 gr, Magtech 115 gr, Tulammo 115 gr, and PMC 115 gr round nose projectiles.

We don’t recommend aluminum case ammunition, truncated and certain hollow point designs don’t feed very well.

Thin-plated bullets and or cast projectiles with only a thin coating of wax or copper will be less reliable than a true jacketed projectile.
